






Elizabeth Blair
Elizabeth Blair has taught at Goleta Family School for nine years. She graduated from UCSB with a degree in Sociology and earned her Teacher's Credential from Chapman University. She took a break from teaching in 2001 to volunteer in the Peace Corps. She loves to ride her bike to the beach with her husband Eric and son Kyvon and play co-ed soccer on Sundays.
Teri Briggs
Teri Briggs has taught at Goleta Family School for 15 years. She received her BA in Latin American Studies from UCSB and has an MA in Education from UCSB with an ESL supplementary attached. She lives on a boat in the Santa Barbara Harbor which she built with her husband of 22 years. She travels frequently to Mexico. She is dedicated to her Ashtanga yoga practice and loves the outdoors.
Karen Neese
Karen Neese is delighted to join Goleta Family School this year. Prior to getting her Masters in Education and elementary teaching credential from UCSB, she served as the Spanish/English translator for the Goleta Union School District. She was also the coordinator of a program called Technology and Literacy for Children at Transition House and ran a bilingual toddler program for underserved families here in Santa Barbara. She earned her B.A. in Spanish Literature from Reed College in Portland, Oregon. She has apprenticed on organic farms on Kauai and here in Goleta, and loves to share her interest in gardening and nature with the children she works with. She is also thrilled to be getting married next summer to her partner, Nathan.
